Richard D. Trimpi

President and Principal Environmental Chemist / Hydrogeologist P.G

Mr. Trimpi has over thirty years of professional environmental experience in performing and managing environmental characterization and remedial projects. He has directed investigations and clean-ups at hundreds of industrial, military, commercial, government, and residential sites with underground storage tanks, petroleum releases, abandoned/waste drums, abandoned tank farms, improper landfilling, laboratory chemicals, catastrophic surface and subsurface spills, toxic gas releases, and abandoned disposal facilities. His experience includes the development, implementation, and supervision of work scopes for the characterization and remediation of PA Act 2 sites, UST sites, NJ ISRA sites, RCRA Corrective Action sites, HSCA sites, and CERCLA sites. Mr. Trimpi has managed the completion of over 170 PA remediation projects with demonstration of attainment of the PADEP Act 2 Land Recycling Act clean-up standards, PADEP Final Report approvals and formal releases of liability. His experience also includes extensive site characterization and investigation activities involving: surface and subsurface soils, shallow and deep groundwater, surface water, and geophysical surveys. His remediation experience includes in-situ technologies (soil vapor extraction, air sparging, bioventing, fenton’s reagent / chemical oxidation, hydrocarbon product collection, dual phase extraction) and ex-situ technologies (excavation, bioremediation, waste stabilization, off-site disposal/recycling).

Janine Jacobs - Principal Geologic Specialist

Ms. Jacobs has over twenty-five years of professional environmental experience in performing environmental characterization and remediation projects, soil investigations, septic system design & inspections, percolation testing, and wetlands investigations. Over the past 20 years she has focused on environmental groundwater/soil investigations and remediation at PADEP Act 2 sites and PA regulated storage tank facilities. She supervises and performs monitoring well installations, groundwater sampling, Geoprobe soil probing/sampling, surface soil sampling, sediment and stream sampling. She has experience with evaluating data and remediation system effectiveness for soil vapor extraction, air sparging, in-situ oxidation, bioremediation, petroleum product recovery, pump & treat remediation systems, and contaminated soil excavations. She has over fifteen years of experience in the preparation of PADEP Act 2 submissions, Act 2 Final Reports, Environmental Covenants, Remedial Investigation Reports, Post-remediation Care Plans, Site Characterization Reports, Remedial Action Plans, Remedial Action Progress Reports and Remedial Action Completion Reports

Mathew Jeffers – Professional Geologist P.G.

Mr. Jeffers has over 14 years of professional environmental experience in performing environmental assessment, investigation, characterization, and remediation projects in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Experience includes field and project management of commercial and residential property Phase I and II Environmental Sites Assessments. Specific expertise includes the evaluation and remediation of: petroleum releases from regulated and unregulated storage tanks; chlorinated solvent releases and buried/abandoned waste drum sites. He is responsible for generating reports in accordance with the Pennsylvania Storage Tank Program Corrective Action Process and the Land Recycling Act 2 Process; the New Jersey Residential Heating Oil Tank Program; and ASTM Standards for Environmental Site Assessments. Field experience includes directing, supervising and performing: soil boring investigations; monitor well installations; sampling of soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, soil vapor, and indoor air; and aquifer testing. Remediation experience includes implementing remedial technologies including in-situ (soil vapor extraction, chemical oxidation including fenton’s reagent and ozone injection, enhanced natural attenuation, LNAPL removal, groundwater pump-and-treat, and dual phase extraction) and ex-situ technologies (excavation, off-site disposal/recycling).
